As parents, we want our children to know how much we love them. However, do we know our child’s love language(s)? Dr. Gary Chapman says there are five different types of love languages: words of affirmation, quality time, receiving gifts, acts of service, and physical touch. Since our children might respond differently to each type of love language, it is important to find out which one(s) will be most impactful to them.
So we wanted to share some resources with you to help you better connect with your children through their love language. The first resource we want to share is a video summary of the book The Five Languages of Children (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWW47FYFCZc&feature=emb_logo). The second resource we want to share is a questionnaire that will help identify your child’s love language (download below). The third resource we want to share is a list of ideas for how to show love in your child’s love language (download below).
We hope these resources help you to better connect with your children so they know how much your care for and love them!
